About Luxing
I understand the challenges of balancing family, career, and identity, especially as an immigrant navigating cultural expectations. I’ve faced the ups and downs of parenting, career transitions, and the pressures of high-performance sports as a coach in golf, skiing, and snowboarding. These experiences have shown me how resilience, mindset, and small shifts can create meaningful change.
Life’s challenges can feel overwhelming, whether in relationships, work, or personal struggles. I help clients navigate these moments with clarity and confidence, drawing from both lived experience and professional training. You don’t have to face these struggles alone—change is possible, and even small steps can lead to something better.
I offer a supportive space using Solution-Focused Therapy to help clients find strengths and small steps toward change. With Compassion-Focused Therapy, I guide clients in developing self-kindness and resilience. My approach helps clients feel relief, gain clarity, and move forward, even in brief therapy. Change is possible, and even small progress is a win.
I know how overwhelming life can feel at times, but you don’t have to go through it alone. If you’re feeling stuck, unsure, or just need someone to talk to, I’m here to help. Change is possible, and even small steps can make a difference. If you’re curious about how we might work together, reach out—I’d be happy to explore whether I’m the right fit for you.
Luxing’s Story
My journey to becoming a therapist has been deeply personal. For years, I followed the traditional path of stability—building a career in the tech industry, providing for my family, and doing what was expected. But beneath that success, I struggled. Balancing cultures, marriage, and parenting in a new country was not easy. Raising three children came with unexpected challenges, and watching my teenage daughter go through depression shook me. I found myself questioning everything—who I was, what I truly wanted, and whether the life I had built was fulfilling.
Amid this midlife crisis, I realized what mattered most: connection, understanding, and helping others find their way. I had always been drawn to deep conversations, to listening, to making sense of struggles—both my own and others’. Shifting careers was daunting, but it gave me purpose. Now, as a therapist, I use my experiences to support others in their own journeys, knowing that change is always possible.
