About Cheryl-Anne

I believe there is resilience and potential within everyone, even when life feels overwhelming. Whether you are coming in as an individual, a couple, or a family, I am here to help you find healing, connection, and growth. I recognize how each person I work with is unique, shaped but not defined by their experiences and relationships. My approach is not about “fixing” you, but about uncovering your strengths and creating hope, even during times when hope feels out of reach. Together, we will explore the patterns and dynamics that impair your well-being, so you can move forward feeling empowered and supported.

I offer a compassionate, understanding space where you can safely explore your feelings and experiences. Together, we will identify your assets and develop practical strategies to help you feel more resourced and less overwhelmed, especially if you are navigating difficult emotions or relationships, or are feeling stuck in life’s challenges.

For more details on my approach to individual, couples, or family therapy, keep reading, and please do not hesitate to reach out if you have any questions. You can also schedule a session or book a free 15-minute phone consultation using the links on this page. Even if we’re not the best fit to work together, I would be glad to assist you in finding the right therapist for your needs.

Therapy with Cheryl-Anne

In our first session, we will focus on three things: 1) I’ll learn about you—your background, life, and key relationships. 2) We’ll explore your main concerns in depth. 3) Together, we’ll create a list of therapeutic goals to work towards. My priority is to provide you with a safe, comfortable space to talk openly, as we move forward together.

Cheryl-Anne’s Story

My journey toward becoming a therapist is one filled with personal challenges, including mental health struggles, a broken family, illness, abuse, and bullying. In contrast, the story of how I discovered my path is one of beauty and purpose. Growing up, I never realized that my deep compassion for others could be translated into a career—I used to wonder, “How could this ever be useful?”

While saving money for a trip, I began working at a therapist’s office, where my relationships with therapists and clients alike blossomed over time. Their encouragement led me to pursue psychotherapy, even though my undergraduate degree was in art. Unsure if the doors would open for me, I took a leap—and found success, thriving in ways I never imagined. Today, reflecting on that journey reminds me daily of why I do this work.
