About Sherry

How long has it been since you last felt like you could mentally take a break? Maybe you are feeling overwhelmed, struggling with your emotions, questioning yourself, or unsure of what you actually want. But the more you try to keep things together, the more you feel disconnected from yourself. It’s not your fault. We live in a world that asks us to move quickly, solve problems, and keep going. But sometimes, understanding ourselves takes something different: time, space, and the opportunity to pause. Pausing does not mean giving up or falling behind. Sometimes, it is what allows us to find our way forward.

I hope to create that space for you. My approach is informed by ACT, CBT, and DBT, and draws from person-centred and culturally-informed perspectives. Together, we can explore the thoughts, emotions, and behaviours that may be keeping you stuck, and break larger concerns down into smaller, meaningful steps that feel aligned with what matters to you.

Self-exploration is not always easy. Looking inward can bring up uncomfortable questions, emotions, and uncertainty. But it can also be the beginning of greater self-understanding, autonomy, and empowerment. You do not have to figure everything out on your own. I would be honoured to work alongside you as you find your way forward.

Sherry’s Story

As a 1.5-generation immigrant who has lived in three countries, much of my life has been shaped by transition. I have moved to new places, met new people, tried to find a sense of belonging, and then started over again. Therefore, I really value the ongoing process of finding a sense of peace within ourselves while the world around us and our own identities continue to change.

Being an immigrant can bring an additional layer of stress alongside the challenges we already navigate with school, work, family, relationships, and the many expectations we carry. I believe that, especially during difficult times, it is important to slow down and understand ourselves, not only to navigate what is happening around us, but to develop a sense of grounding that does not depend entirely on external circumstances.

With this belief, I hope to offer a space where you can pause, make sense of your experiences, and develop a deeper understanding of yourself as you navigate whatever transition comes next.
