About Victoria

If you are looking for a human connection, creative expression, and a space to take a breather, I may be a good fit for you! I am a trained art psychotherapist and I have worked with people of all ages and from various walks of life. In a world that is fast-paced, and often full of heavy feelings, I invite you to a space to sit, connect, and maybe even make some art! You are welcome to share your story, and together we can make sense of it, find hope, and work towards feeling stronger and more equipped to handle life’s challenges.

I provide art therapy and talk therapy sessions for individuals. I lean towards a strengths-based, person-centered, mindfulness approach, with bits of CBT/DBT and narrative therapy. I have a calm, kind, non-judgemental therapeutic demeanour. Your hopes, goals, and needs are the compass of our sessions and I will always meet you where you are at.

If you are interested in sessions with me, please view my BB Therapy webpage. Feel free to contact me by email or phone if you have any questions. I am open to a free 15-minute consultation, or you can book a session on our site. I look forward to meeting you!

Therapy with Victoria

In our first session together, we will cover background info so I can learn more about you, go into more detail about your main concerns, and discuss some of your goals for our therapy. Later, we can either do an art or talk therapy session, working towards your goals and needs. Art therapy sessions can be structured (meaning a specific activity) or unstructured. We will always work with whatever materials you have – no need to buy anything special.

Victoria’s Story

Originally, I was on a path to be a front-line Child and Youth Care worker, but discovered the therapy world in my own personal experiences of attending therapy. I found that in the intimate, private setting of therapy I was able to get to know someone more, and do really meaningful and rewarding work. I also learned of art psychotherapy, and completely fell in love with it and knew this was my dream job.

Some highlights of my career so far include doing my master’s level thesis at SickKids, where I created an art therapy group for children with chronic pain (a community near and dear to my heart) to meet others like them and address loneliness related to their chronic pain. I also created art therapy programming for seniors with dementia and cognitive decline, and have thoroughly enjoyed my previous experiences in private practice working with adults, especially neurodivergent folks.
