About Adam’s Training and Credentials
I am a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) (CRPO), a Member of the CCPA, and have an undergraduate degree (HBA) from the University of Toronto.
About Adam
As a therapist, I do not view my clients through a lens of good or bad; rather, I see them with compassion and empathy, trusting that everyone has the potential to improve and contribute to society. I strongly believe in the power of agency—that each person can create monumental change in their lives, build mental resiliency, and overcome adversities. Working from a holistic approach, I guide clients to a deeply felt realization of the preciousness of life, which I believe to be foundational to therapeutic success. My goal is to help them reconnect with their inner light and recognize their unique potential to thrive, free from judgment. I work with individuals facing a range of challenges, helping them externalize their struggles, so the struggles no longer define who they are.
I specialize in mindful listening and speaking, creating a calm, laid-back, and non-judgmental space where clients can truly be authentic and vulnerable. My approach blends CBT, narrative therapy, strengths-based, and solution-focused techniques to help clients fully understand their concerns, accept their current challenges, and take actionable steps toward sustainable change in their mental health and relationships.
Thank you for taking the time to view my profile! If you are interested in learning more about my holistic approach to individual therapy, or if you are intrigued by what you see, I offer a free 15-minute phone consultation; you can book that, or a session, using the links on this page. Even if we’re not the perfect match, I would be happy to help you find a therapist who is more in line with your needs.
Adam’s Story
Growing up as a competitive athlete, strong student, and member of a loving, supportive family, I was no stranger to success. Regardless, I also experienced firsthand the challenging impact that life’s difficulties can have on mental health. From a young age, psychology and philosophy intrigued me, sparking a passion for understanding human behaviour. However, my initial career path led me into international relations and Public Policy, where I hoped to positively influence lives. It wasn’t long before I realized that my desire to help others was limited by my inability to manage my own personal challenges.
Finding myself at a crossroads, I turned to therapy for guidance, and this experience profoundly shifted my perspective on life and my ability to serve others. It was through this transformative process that I discovered my true calling: becoming a therapist. A wise friend once said, “Sometimes the client becomes the therapist,” a sentiment that grows more meaningful with each person I work with. Having faced my own adversities, I’m passionate about helping others overcome theirs, seeking to offer others the same quality of support that helped me find hope and healing. Becoming a therapist was not merely a career choice—it’s my vocation, and I’m honoured to help others navigate their journeys, just as I was helped to navigate mine.
Therapy with Adam
In our first session, we’ll discuss three key things to understand why you’ve taken the courageous step to seek therapy. We’ll start with background information: who you are, your life, and those around you. Then, we’ll explore your main concerns, which I consider the anchor for our therapeutic process. Finally, we’ll talk about your goals for therapy, which will guide our work together. With concrete goals, you’ll not only take actionable steps toward change, but will also build a toolkit for long-term success in mental health and life. Throughout, you’ll remain in the driver’s seat, ensuring a meaningful and sustainable therapeutic journey toward a hopeful future.
