About Amanda
I understand, from lived experience, how heavy life can feel when you’re used to managing things independently, and I bring that awareness into my role as a therapist. I chose this work because I believe healing happens in connection, especially when someone feels safe enough to be fully themselves, without judgment or pressure to hold it all together.
In therapy with me, the focus is on creating a space where you don’t have to perform, filter yourself, or figure everything out before you arrive. I aim to offer a steady, collaborative space where you can slow things down, make sense of what’s been feeling heavy, and feel genuinely understood.
I work with individuals and couples across different life stages who are navigating anxiety, self-esteem struggles, life transitions, and relationship patterns, including people-pleasing and feeling disconnected from themselves or others. Many of my clients are used to prioritizing others and minimizing their own needs. Together, we gently begin to shift these tendencies by exploring what you’re feeling, what you need, and what gets in the way of expressing yourself more fully.
My approach is integrative and relational. I draw primarily from emotion-focused and psychodynamic perspectives, while also incorporating CBT, narrative therapy, and parts work (IFS-informed). This approach allows us to both understand the deeper emotional patterns shaping your experiences and to build practical ways to navigate them in daily life.
Reaching out for therapy support can feel like a big step. If you’re unsure where to start, that’s okay; we can begin there, and I will guide you through the process. You’re welcome to reach out by email or phone, or you can book a session or a free 15-minute consultation with me, using the links on this page.
Amanda’s Story
My journey toward becoming a therapist began with a deep curiosity about people and the quiet struggles we all carry. I have always been drawn to listening, and over time, I noticed how everyone experiences pain differently, as well as how healing can look different for each person. Whether it was through connection, self-reflection, or simply being heard, I saw the strength in people’s stories and the resilience they held—this inspired me to become someone who could offer support during those difficult moments. I have always wanted to be the kind of person who listens without judgment and helps others feel less alone, and as a therapist, I am honoured to walk alongside clients as they work through their challenges, reconnect with themselves, and find their own paths toward healing.
Therapy with Amanda
Therapy with me is collaborative, flexible, and shaped around what matters most to you. In our first session, we will explore your story, your main concerns, and the goals you would like to work toward. Please know that I welcome your feedback and will not be offended if you challenge or question things—that, in itself, can serve as an important part of the process and your growth.
