About Hiba
Are you feeling overwhelmed due to racing thoughts, self-criticism, or unrealistic expectations? Whether you are coming to therapy for existing mental health concerns or for maintenance, I will provide you with a safe, empathetic, and judgement-free space to be vulnerable and explore your innermost struggles. As a visible minority, Muslim woman of South Asian descent who wears a Hijab (head scarf), I understand the day-to-day challenges individuals from marginalized populations face due to their intersectional identities. Thus, part of our work together may involve recognizing and addressing various barriers that hinder your progress, as you journey towards self-growth and contentment.
I use evidence-based, trauma-informed, and culturally sensitive approaches to therapy. My diverse toolkit allows me to tailor treatment according to clients’ unique struggles, to most effectively foster their growth and resilience. I also use an intersectional framework to collaboratively help my clients understand the influence of their numerous identities on present mental health issues.
Reaching out for support to improve your mental well-being is a courageous step towards bringing positive changes into your life! If you have any questions or want to learn if we are a good fit, please feel free to book a complimentary 15-minute phone consultation using the link on this page. Even if we are not the perfect fit, I would be happy to help you find the right therapist for you!
Therapy with Hiba
In our first session, we will take the time to talk about what makes you, you – you will be given the opportunity to describe your unique self and your story, how you came to be the person you are today, and so on. Next, we will dive into what brings you to therapy and identify the challenges you are currently facing. Finally, we will collaboratively discuss and formulate your therapeutic goals.
