About Malik

My practice is built on the belief that everyone already holds the keys to their own healing; my role is to help you find and use those keys. I bring a calm and grounded presence to each session, creating a space where you feel truly heard and deeply understood. Using a trauma-informed approach, I support both individuals and groups, empowering you and gently guiding you toward becoming your own primary source of support and insight.

Starting therapy takes courage, and I understand the hesitation some might feel about opening up to a male therapist – it’s a step that requires a lot of trust, especially given the complex feelings about masculinity and emotional vulnerability in our society. I want to acknowledge the strength it takes to seek help, and I assure you that my practice is a place of warmth and non-judgment. Having experienced my own mental health struggles, I share a deep connection with those who are on a similar journey, seeking clarity and peace.

In facing challenges like addiction, stress, anxiety, depression, or trauma, I provide an environment where safety and vulnerability are possible, allowing for deep exploration of your emotions, thoughts, and experiences. Alongside offering practical coping skills for daily life, I adapt my therapy approach to fit your unique needs and journey, ensuring you are supported in working toward your goals.

Malik’s Story

Raised in a community shadowed by silent struggles, where coping often involved substance use, isolation, or violence, I was driven by a profound question: What if proper support and understanding were within reach for these struggling individuals? This curiosity transformed into a calling, leading me down the path of therapy. It wasn’t until I began my journey, over 6 years ago, that I truly witnessed the power of genuine support within therapy, and I now consider each session to be a manifestation of what I once imagined possible—a space for healing, growth, and resilience
