About Rayella
I believe that everyone is unique and has the ability to transform their lives. I have helped empower individuals to heal, grow, and connect with themselves and others. I understand the impact that relationships have on our well-being. I see the strength and resilience in my clients, with their own stories and perspectives. I see my clients as whole and not broken or needing to be fixed. I applaud the courage it takes to reach out for therapy, to trust the therapist as well as to implement change. That is why it is important for me to walk beside you and support you.
Using a person-centred approach, my role is to listen attentively to your story in a calm and non-judgmental space. Then together, we delve deeper, gaining further insight by using a combination of approaches that is relevant to you. I use CBT, ACT, mindfulness, somatic, solution-focused and attachment-based approaches.
For more information on how I do individual therapy, feel free to view my webpage. If you have any questions, do not hesitate to call or email me. You can also book a session on our site or book a free 15-minute phone consultation. Even if you and I are not the right fit, I would be happy to help you find the right therapist for you.
Therapy with Rayella
In our first session, I like to get to know who you are, what your life is like, who is in your life, your hobbies and other details that are important to you (background information). Then we will explore in great depth what brought you to therapy (your main concerns). We will then talk about your goals, what you want to achieve and together we will work towards those goals.
Rayella’s Story
I have six siblings and, as the oldest daughter, I always took care of their needs. This role extended to my friends and influenced my career choices. I became a teacher, educational assistant, and personal support worker. I worked with individuals who were constantly feeling anxious, carrying grief, angry, worried, feeling stuck, overthinking, struggling with lack of confidence, low self-esteem and life transitions. Everyone depended on them and sometimes they felt overwhelmed and unsupported. This fueled my desire to transition and become a therapist. I am passionate about working with people and have successfully navigated these concerns with my clients, expanding my areas of focus to include addictions.
Clients often describe me as warm, compassionate, easy to talk to, supportive, understanding, insightful, patient, caring and genuine. My goal is to create a space where you feel heard, supported, and understood.
