About Sarah
I believe that a significant part of who we are is shaped by the relationships, experiences, and environments we move through, and that understanding these influences can help us create meaningful change. As a relational therapist, I see each client as a whole person, with their own story, strengths, and ways of making sense of the world. Together, we’ll explore what’s happening beneath the surface, including how different patterns might be showing up in your relationships, work, and self-image. My approach is warm, curious, collaborative, and grounded in evidence-based care.
I provide a warm, non-judgmental space to slow down and understand the patterns that lie beneath whatever brings you to therapy. We’ll explore your emotions, relationships, beliefs, and ways of coping, including how these patterns may show up across different areas of your life.
Starting therapy can feel vulnerable, especially when you’re used to figuring things out on your own. Therapy offers a space to slow down, feel understood, and make sense of what you’re experiencing. If you’re curious about beginning individual or couples therapy, I offer a free 15-minute consultation where we can talk about what’s bringing you in and whether we might be a good fit.
Therapy with Sarah
In our first few sessions, we’ll begin by understanding what brings you to therapy, your history, relationships, and any patterns you’ve noticed in your life. As we continue our work together, we’ll pay attention to how these patterns show up in different relationships and situations, including in our sessions together. We’ll develop a shared understanding of what’s keeping you stuck and work toward meaningful and lasting change.
Sarah’s Story
My path to becoming a therapist wasn’t entirely linear. I first discovered psychology as a teenager and went on to study it at university, before pursuing a career in law. Although I valued my legal career, I continued to feel drawn to the work of understanding people, relationships, and what shapes the ways we move through the world. That interest eventually brought me back to psychology and counselling.
My work is grounded in a relational and attachment-informed perspective. I believe that who we are is shaped not only by our individual experiences, but by the relationships and environments in which we develop and live. In therapy, I’m interested in understanding the patterns that shape how we relate to ourselves and others, including how those patterns may show up in our work, relationships, and in the therapy room itself. I believe that developing a deeper understanding of these patterns, even when they are deeply entrenched, can make meaningful change possible.
