I provide a space for clients that is free of judgment, inclusive, and empowering. I use modalities that are evidence-based such as psychodynamic, mindfulness, solution-focused, trauma-informed, and emotionally-focused approaches. I am passionate about supporting individuals and couples and I specialize in supporting marginalized communities such as those who identify as 2SLGBTQI+ and immigrants.

Vrushalee’s Story
I grew up in an environment where mental health was the last consideration. However, for a decade I was involved in giving back to society via volunteering efforts for shelters that supported children and adults who were survivors of abuse. Additionally, I worked in the corporate world as a Behavioral Facilitator and Career Counselor. As such, I have always found it fulfilling to serve community members in enhancing their mental health. However, back then the options to pursue a career in mental health were limited. When I came to Canada in 2018, I continued to volunteer. In 2020, when the COVID-19 pandemic began, the mental health crisis reignited my long-lost dream to pursue a professional career in the mental health field. Since the world switched to work-from-home, it gave me back 4-5 hours that otherwise I spent traveling for my day job. This is where I started looking for suitable options that could give me the necessary education to get licensed in this field and I came upon Yorkville University’s Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology (MACP), and the rest is history!
