About Asma

People often come to therapy believing they should be coping better than they are.

From the outside, their lives may look perfectly manageable: they’re working, raising families, meeting responsibilities, and showing up for everyone who depends on them, yet underneath, they’re exhausted. Anxiety is always running in the background. They overthink conversations, struggle to set boundaries, feel guilty for having needs, or find themselves carrying a weight they can’t quite explain.

If that sounds familiar, you’re exactly the kind of person I work with.

Before becoming a psychotherapist, I practised medicine. That experience taught me something I see every day in therapy: emotional struggles rarely stay confined to our thoughts. Stress shows up in our bodies. Burnout affects our relationships. Anxiety quietly shapes the decisions we make, the opportunities we miss out on, and the lives we end up living.

Today, I help adults navigate anxiety, depression, burnout, grief, life transitions, chronic illness, and relationship challenges. Many of my clients are thoughtful, capable people who have spent years taking care of others while putting themselves last.

My style is warm, direct, and practical. Together, we’ll look at the patterns keeping you stuck, make sense of the experiences that shaped those patterns, and develop concrete strategies for creating change.

Therapy is not about becoming a different person; it’s about understanding yourself more clearly, responding to life’s challenges more effectively, and creating room for a life that feels lighter, more meaningful, and more genuinely your own.

If you’re tired of carrying everything by yourself, I’d be honoured to help.
