About Kenza

Life isn’t always straightforward, and it doesn’t come with a manual. Have you ever been stuck, struggled with people-pleasing or setting boundaries, or felt like, no matter how hard you try, you keep repeating the same patterns?

I get it. I’ve been there. And I’m here to help.

I love psychotherapy because it provides us with an answer to why we’re feeling stuck and how to move forward. I believe that understanding the root causes behind our struggles is crucial to furthering self-awareness and self-compassion, and I help clients like yourself connect the dots within their stories. Together, I will work with you to examine your patterns, address negative thoughts and beliefs, process emotions, and take meaningful action that will transform your day-to-day life.

As both a therapist and a client, I believe sessions should be dynamic, real, and relatable. I take an integrative approach to therapy, drawing from a range of evidence-based methods to help clients gain clarity, deepen their self-awareness, and move towards a life that feels aligned, fulfilling, and meaningful.

Whether you’re navigating new challenges or simply feeling stuck, I know firsthand how transformative it can be to get support on your journey. If you think I might be a good fit for you, feel free to book a session with me using this link or schedule a free, 15-minute consultation to learn more.

Therapy with Kenza

Here’s how I work with clients:

1. First, I’ll learn more about you and we’ll collaboratively set goals for your time in therapy.

2. Then, we’ll work together to understand the causes, beliefs, and habits that underlie your struggles. Together, we’ll examine patterns, addressing negative thoughts, and process your emotions in session.

3. Finally, we’ll work to turn those learnings into real, actionable change in your life. (It’s scary — but this is where the magic happens!)

Kenza’s Story

I’ve always been interested in human psychology and personal development, and in 2013, I graduated from the University of Victoria having studied both Psychology and Professional Writing. Prior to working as a therapist, I spent a decade travelling and working as a journalist and writer, where I had the privilege of helping others share their stories. I was struck by the many different ways that people understand the world and themselves, and the many paths individuals take to live rich, meaningful, and fulfilling lives. At the same time, I started working with a therapist myself — and doing so was nothing short of transformative for my self-worth, my relationships, and my day-to-day life. When I realized how therapy could help people make tangible change in their lives, I decided to switch from helping others tell their stories to helping them change them.
