About Kezia

I believe that every person carries resilience within them, even when life feels overwhelming. I have supported clients to work through generational trauma, navigate intersecting identities, and develop a stronger sense of who they are. Some of my work has been alongside First Responders, giving me an understanding of the unique demands and culture of their work, and I have also supported those who have lost themselves in the role of caregiving. In addition, I work with individuals struggling with low self-esteem, anxiety, and self-doubt, helping them rediscover their confidence and worth.

As a Narrative and trauma-informed therapist, I value the power of stories and the ways they shape who we are. I do not see clients as broken or in need of fixing, but rather as unique individuals with their own strengths and wisdom, and who are the experts of their own story, even when that feels hard to see. My role is to help clients step into a story that allows them to live more authentically, with greater balance, resilience, and self-compassion.

I provide a compassionate, non-judgmental space where clients can explore their stories and their challenges alike. Using a trauma-informed approach, I help clients to heal, build resilience, and discover strategies that support their confidence, balance, and sense of authenticity.

For more information on how I do individual therapy, feel free to keep reading, and if you have any questions, don’t hesitate to reach out. Even if you and I aren’t the right fit, I would be happy to help you find the right therapist for you.

Kezia’s Story

My journey into psychotherapy began long before University. When I first came to Canada, I faced the challenges of culture shock, navigating identity, and witnessing firsthand how generational trauma can affect a parent’s ability to show up. Living in that “in-between space” of cultures gave me a deep understanding of the struggles people face when balancing family expectations, personal identity, and belonging. It was through the guidance of a school counsellor during this time that I discovered my passion for helping others, which led me to pursue a Bachelor’s in Social Work, and later a Master’s in Counselling Psychology. I wanted to offer the same kind of support to others—to be a steady presence in someone’s story, helping them navigate challenges, heal, and step into a life that feels authentic and whole.

Therapy with Kezia

Our first session is about creating a safe, supportive space to share your story. We’ll talk about what’s been weighing on you, explore how your past experiences may impact your present, and clarify your goals for therapy. From there, we’ll work together to build on your strengths and create a path that brings you closer to being you.
