About Amber

I feel genuinely grateful when someone invites me into their story and trusts me with the parts of life that may feel difficult, confusing, or tender. I believe we are all more than the challenges that bring us to therapy, and I approach each client as a whole person shaped by their experiences, relationships, culture, faith, identity, and the many parts of who they are. Over the years, I have supported children, teens, and adults as they navigate stress, relationship concerns, questions of identity and belonging, and major life transitions. Wherever you are starting from, my hope is to offer a space where you feel understood, can reconnect with the strengths you already carry, and move toward greater clarity, connection, and self-trust.

I offer a warm, non-judgmental space to explore emotions, patterns, and the experiences shaping your present. Using a collaborative approach, I draw from CBT, DBT-informed, emotion-focused, narrative, strengths-based, and solution-focused therapies to help you build insight, practical coping skills, and healthier ways of relating to both yourself and others.

Finding the right therapist can take time, and it is important that you feel comfortable with the person you choose. If something in my approach resonates with you, I would be happy to connect and learn more about what you are looking for. To connect with me you can book a session on our site or book a free 15-minute phone consultation.

Therapy with Amber

Therapy with me is collaborative, warm, and structured. We will begin by getting to know your story, what feels difficult right now, and what you hope will change. From there, we will identify meaningful goals and draw on your strengths, values, relationships, culture, and practical strategies to help you move toward them at a pace that feels right.

Amber’s Story

My path to psychotherapy grew out of a long-standing interest in people, the past, and the stories that shape who we become. I have always been curious about how history, culture, family, and identity influence the way people understand themselves and relate to the world around them. That curiosity led me to complete an Honours BA in Religion and Culture, with a minor in Archaeology and Heritage Studies, where I became even more interested in the connections between personal experience, collective history, and meaning-making. Over time, I realized I was most drawn not only to studying people and their stories, but to sitting with them as they made sense of those stories in their own lives. That led me to pursue an MA in Theology – Spiritual Care and Psychotherapy. Today, I bring that same curiosity into my clinical work, with deep respect for the ways culture, faith, identity, relationships, and lived experience intersect.
