About Maddalena

Hi, I’m Maddie, a trauma-informed psychotherapist who works with people feeling stuck in anxiety, overwhelm, relationship patterns, or self-doubt. As a therapist, I believe people are far more resilient than they often realize, and I take a strengths-based approach to help clients recognize and build on their existing capacities. My goal is to help clients seek deeper emotional understanding, practice tools for regulation, and make meaningful change so they can heal, grow, and live in greater alignment with their values. Essentially, I practice with the belief that clients already have what they need and together we will find it in therapy.

I offer a warm, compassionate, and down-to-earth space where you can feel safe being yourself. I specialize in anxiety, emotion regulation, relationships, and self-esteem, and I work collaboratively to help you build insight, confidence, and practical tools for real, lasting change.

Therapy doesn’t have to start with having the right words, it can start with simply being curious. If something here resonates, you’re welcome to reach out and see how it feels to talk. You can book a session on our site or book a free 15-minute phone consultation. And if I’m not your person, I’ll still gladly help you find yours.

Maddalena’s Story

My journey to becoming a therapist began long before formal training. As a child, I was endlessly curious about human behaviour and aware of how deeply I felt my own emotions. Over time, I realized I could feel just as deeply for others. That early sensitivity became a gift, one that naturally drew me toward listening, understanding, and connection. Through my academic and clinical training, my fascination with the human mind only deepened, but at my core, I have always remained a helper. I am moved by people’s stories, their pain, their resilience, and their capacity for change. Even with years of education and experience, I approach this work with humility and gratitude. Trauma informed care has taught me that stepping into another person’s world is a privilege and I never take it lightly. It is this enduring passion for connection, understanding, and support that continues to guide my path as a therapist.

Therapy with Maddalena

Therapy with me begins with three intentional steps. First, we get to know you, your background, your day-to-day life, and the important people in your world. Next, we discuss what’s been weighing on you, and what brought you into therapy. Finally, we work together to shape clear, meaningful goals for therapy. These usually include what you want to change, strengthen, or understand. From there, we work collaboratively, at your pace, with curiosity, compassion, and practical tools to support real change.
