About Mia

Therapy can be a place to put down the parts of yourself you’ve been carrying alone. Maybe you’re overwhelmed by a new chapter, struggling in your relationships, or simply tired of holding everything together. Sometimes, we can spend so long trying to cope, keep going, or be who we think we’re supposed to be that we lose touch with what we actually need.

You don’t have to figure it all out on your own. Together, we’ll make sense of what’s been keeping you stuck, get to the heart of what you’re feeling, and work toward meaningful change in your life and relationships. I’m a warm, engaged, and results-oriented therapist: I won’t just sit back and listen. I’ll be right there with you asking thoughtful questions, offering new perspectives, and helping you turn insight into real change. Our sessions are collaborative, relaxed, and validating; more like an honest conversation than a traditional doctor-patient visit.

If anything on my page resonates with you, I invite you to book a session or a free 15-minute phone consultation using the links on this page. I’m happy to answer any questions, and even if you and I are not the right fit, I would be glad to help you find the right therapist for you.

Therapy with Mia

My therapy room is filled with warmth, honesty, and often humor. It’s the kind of space where you can exhale, be yourself, and feel like you’re talking with someone who genuinely gets you.

My hope is that you leave each session feeling lighter, more connected to yourself, as well as more connected to your loved ones. Through our work together, I will help you to truly understand: You can feel differently than you do now, and you are not alone.

Mia’s Story

In my teenage years, I struggled with depression, anxiety, and undiagnosed ADHD. I knew I had a lot to be grateful for, which made it even harder to understand why I felt so bad. From the outside, my life looked fine. In actuality, I felt like I was performing a life that wasn’t really mine.

After working with a talented therapist, I found myself not only okay, but eventually thriving: happier than I could have imagined possible. I realized that people – particularly those who have been stuck struggling for a while – vastly underestimate their own power to better their lives. I also realized the importance of having a really good therapist to help with that journey. So, I decided to become that therapist.

I have over a decade of diverse clinical experience across private practice, university, addiction, and community settings. I also have a particular interest in supporting couples, because our closest relationships can sometimes stir up wounds we’ve carried for years – and, with the right support, can also become places where those wounds finally begin to heal.

I know what it is to sit on the other side of the therapy room, unsure if things can really feel different, and I never take it for granted that someone chooses to trust me with that part of their life. Mental health is my passion, and I would be honored to support you in navigating life’s challenges.
