About Mitchell

Hello! My name is Mitchell, and I’m here to help. As more people begin exploring their mental health, I seek to support the journey into the unknown and help them make sense of the internal workings of thoughts, feelings, and emotions that might not make sense just yet. I want to help people accept themselves while also venturing closer to their ideal selves. In this process, I believe many overwhelming, uncomfortable, and even painful feelings can be eased and unwanted behaviours can be changed.

I am here as a guide and a collaborator, exploring who you are and where you want to be!

I offer a warm, collaborative space where we can slow things down and make sense of what feels confusing. I work with anxiety, relationships, life transitions, self worth, athletic performance and identity, helping clients build insight, challenge unhelpful patterns, and create meaningful change at a pace that feels right for them.

Starting therapy can feel like a big step, and you do not have to have everything figured out before reaching out. If you’re curious about working together, I’d be happy to connect, answer your questions, and see whether I feel like the right fit for what you’re looking for. No pressure, just a conversation. Feel free to book a free 15-minute consultation.

Therapy with Mitchell

After learning about your presenting concern(s) and getting to know you, we will begin collaboration on a few different pathways for addressing what you’ve brought into session. Every step of the way, you are a primary part of your treatment, and no decision will be made without your input and a frank conversation around why modalities or interventions are being used. Ultimately, we will be combining my academic and occupational experience with your knowledge of yourself and how you think, work, and change. Once I know how you operate, I can better point out your strengths and patterns, especially the ones you may be too close to yourself to see.

Mitchell’s Story

My path to becoming a therapist has been shaped by people and stories. Growing up in Toronto meant growing up in a melting pot of cultures and socioeconomic backgrounds. It taught me early that two people can experience the same world in completely different ways, and that has stayed with me.

Before becoming a therapist, I worked as an actor, where I became fascinated by the stories people tell and the roles we slip into. Later, working in social services, I met people navigating incredibly difficult moments with resilience that often went unnoticed.

I also know what it feels like to feel trapped in your own mind and body, when thoughts and emotions seem impossible to make sense of. Learning to recognize the often invisible patterns that shape our inner world showed me that, what often feels overwhelming, can become understandable. That experience deepened my love for narrative therapy and my belief that even ordinary moments can shape our reality, and that understanding our story can create room for relief, choice, and change.
