About Danielle
Sometimes, you can know that something isn’t quite right without knowing exactly what needs to change. Maybe you’re feeling anxious or overwhelmed, second-guessing yourself, overthinking your relationships, or navigating a major life change. Maybe you keep finding yourself in the same patterns or feel like you should be handling things better than you are. Therapy can be a space to slow down, understand yourself more deeply, and create a clearer path forward.
I want therapy to feel like a comfortable place where you can be yourself, speak openly, and feel genuinely understood. You don’t need to know exactly what you need from therapy or have the right words to explain what’s going on. We can figure that out together. I take a collaborative approach and draw from person-centred, attachment-based, CBT, narrative, strengths-based, and trauma-informed approaches, always keeping your experiences and what feels most helpful for you at the centre of our work.
Reaching out to a therapist for the first time can feel a little intimidating, especially if you’re not sure what to expect. If you’re considering therapy, I’d be happy to have a conversation and hear what’s bringing you in. You can also book a complimentary 15 minute consultation to see if we’re a good fit before getting started.
Therapy with Danielle
Therapy with me is a conversation, not a script. We’ll talk about what’s going on in your life, what’s been difficult, and what you want to get out of therapy. I’ll ask questions, offer perspective, and sometimes challenge you when it’s helpful. We’ll figure things out together and go at a pace that feels comfortable for you.
Danielle’s Story
I’ve always been curious about people, what shapes us, and why we become who we are. That curiosity is what eventually led me to counseling psychology. Outside of therapy, I’ve been playing the cello for over 25 years, and I think that experience has taught me a lot about patience, practice, frustration, and the fact that growth rarely happens in a straight line.
My path to becoming a therapist has been about learning how to really listen, ask better questions, and understand the person behind what they are bringing into the room. I bring that same curiosity into my work with clients. I don’t believe therapy should feel like being analyzed or told what to do. I want it to feel like a place where you can be honest, think out loud, and leave with a better understanding of yourself.
