About Emily

I believe therapy begins with a genuine therapeutic relationship and a willingness to understand each person’s lived experience. My work is grounded in curiosity, collaboration, and the beliefs that clients are the experts of their own lives, and meaningful change comes from developing a deeper understanding of ourselves, our emotions, and our patterns. I work with clients as whole people, considering the relationships, identities, experiences, and contexts that shape their lives, while also helping create space for movement and change.

I offer a warm, collaborative space to explore emotions, relationships, identity, and the patterns that can leave us feeling stuck or overwhelmed. I combine thoughtful conversation with creative and experiential approaches, offering clients different ways to express themselves, gain insight, and make meaningful connections. Together, we can turn discovered insight into practical steps toward change, and a deeper understanding of oneself.

If you are considering therapy and are wondering if we might be a good fit, I invite you to reach out with any questions about my approach or what working together might look like. You can also book a session on our website or book a free 15-minute phone consultation. If I am not the right fit, I am happy to help you find the right therapist for you.

Therapy with Emily

In our first session, we’ll begin our therapeutic relationship with getting to know each other and talking about what brought you to therapy. We’ll explore what’s happening in your life, what you’d like to change, and what you hope to get from therapy. From there, we’ll develop goals together and use an approach that fits you, not a one-size-fits-all plan.

Emily’s Story

My path to becoming a therapist grew from a genuine interest in understanding people and the experiences that shape who we become. I completed my BA in Family & Social Relations with a minor in Psychology, which deepened my interest in mental health, relationships, and human behaviour. I’m now continuing my training in Art Therapy, bringing together my academic background, my artistic interests, and my belief that there are many ways to understand and express what we’re experiencing.

I became a therapist because I value having meaningful conversations, creating space for people to feel understood, and helping people make sense of experiences that can sometimes feel overwhelming or difficult to put into words. My approach continues to grow alongside my training, and I strive to bring curiosity, warmth, and genuine collaboration into my work.
