About Jasmine

I believe that everyone is on a unique journey, following their own path, which makes us all special. As we navigate this journey, we bring our individual strengths, abilities, and skills to heal, grow, and foster meaningful connections. Two people can share the same experience yet perceive it differently, influenced by a variety of personal factors.

I view each person as a whole, considering their emotional, cognitive, social, and spiritual dimensions, rather than focusing on just one aspect. This holistic perspective is what I call a humanistic approach to therapy. I connect with individuals through their stories, emphasizing their strengths and the meanings they create. Whether you’re seeking to better understand yourself or navigate a particular situation, I’m here to collaborate with you in developing a personalized therapeutic approach that meets your unique needs.

I create a non-judgmental and supportive environment where individuals feel safe to share their stories and gain insight. My approach to therapy is both anti oppressive and strength-based, rooted in the belief that every person has inherent greatness and that hope can be found in any situation.

In our sessions, you are the expert on your own life, and my role is to listen to your meaningful story as I connect the dots, deconstruct ideas, and help uncover deeper meanings. As a psychotherapist, I offer support, strategies, and tools to enhance your well-being. Together, we will explore your experiences and concerns, working collaboratively towards finding solutions that resonate with you.

Keep in mind, you are not the problem; the problem is the problem!

I’m here to provide support in various ways, and if you’d like more information about my individual therapy approach, please feel free to email me with any questions. You can also click the link below to book a session with me or schedule a free 15-minute consultation. Even if we’re not the perfect fit, I’d be glad to help you find the right therapist for your needs.

Jasmine’s Story

My journey to becoming a therapist has been a long and meaningful one. Immigrating to Canada as a child with my family, we faced culture shock and financial hardships with lack of mental health awareness in my family. These experiences motivated me to consider a career in mental health.

Throughout those challenges, the meaningful connections and shared experiences with my family were invaluable as we worked to support each other. Coming from a large family of eight, we faced financial struggles but also had the blessing of sharing the emotional toll it took on each of us. Even though we all lived through the same circumstances, the impact varied for each individual.

This is why I embrace a holistic approach to psychotherapy, as I have personally experienced its importance. Looking back, I wish my family and I had sought therapy to help us navigate those difficult times. However, that experience fueled my passion to assist others who are seeking help. I truly believe that therapy can make a significant difference and change lives for the better.
