About Lauren
I believe there is so much more to you than the things that have made your world feel small. Maybe a part of you knows that too, even if you have no idea how to find your way back to it yet. I love to help people discover who they are when fear is no longer making all the decisions. Therapy with me is a place to be completely human: we can laugh, we can sit in the hard stuff, and we can figure things out together. I’ll believe in the life you want for yourself and I’ll challenge you to believe in it too.
I specialize in eating disorders, trauma, anxiety, and the complicated ways they can become woven into how we see ourselves. I believe therapy should go beyond simply feeling better. Together, we will work to understand what is keeping you stuck, gently challenge the patterns that are no longer serving you, and make space for you to build a life that feels fuller, freer, and more your own.
Starting therapy can feel like a big step, especially when a part of you is not even sure you are ready for things to change. You do not have to have it all figured out before you reach out. Come exactly as you are, and we can start there, together.
Therapy with Lauren
I show up to therapy as myself, and I hope you feel like you can too. You never have to perform or say the right thing with me; I want to understand your world as you experience it, and I am genuinely curious about the parts that do not make sense yet. I will take the hard stuff seriously without making every moment feel heavy. I want our work to feel like something we are truly doing together, with plenty of room to laugh along the way.
Lauren’s Story
I did not always know I was going to be a therapist. I came to this work a little later in life, after already becoming a mom and learning firsthand that life rarely follows the plan we have for it. When I found social work, something clicked. I became fascinated by people, their stories, and all the ways we learn to survive the things that happen to us.
My training introduced me to the treatment of eating disorders and trauma, and I quickly knew I had found the work I wanted to do. I love getting to know each person beyond what they are struggling with, and understanding how they came to be where they are today. There is something incredibly special about being trusted with someone’s story and then getting to watch as they begin doing things they once thought were impossible.
Becoming a therapist has never felt like simply choosing a career; it feels like finding the work I was always meant to find.
