About Shahana

Life’s journey can bring us to moments that feel overwhelming, unfair, or just too much to handle alone. Whether you’re dealing with stress, anxiety, low mood, or simply seeking a deeper understanding of yourself, I believe in each person’s innate ability to grow and thrive, and I am here to support these processes within you. My goal is to provide a safe, non-judgmental space where you can explore your emotions, make sense of your past experiences, and develop the tools and resilience to face life’s challenges with greater clarity and confidence.

I strive to create a welcoming therapy environment that is rooted in empathy, a place where each individual feels genuinely understood. I offer structured, evidence-based therapy using CBT, mindfulness, and interpersonal approaches; my work draws on my past clinical psychology experience with Mount Sinai, Sunnybrook, and Trillium Health Partners. Sessions with me are collaborative, goal-focused, and tailored to your needs, and they often focus on insight, emotional regulation, boundaries, and practical skills for daily life.

Many people reach out for help only after carrying too much on their own, for too long—it makes sense if you feel unsure. You deserve support that feels steady, respectful, and human; therapy works best when you feel understood and not judged. If you are looking for grounded, collaborative assistance, I would love to chat more to see if we could be a good fit. Feel free to book yourself in for a free consultation or a session, using the links on this page.

Therapy with Shahana

In our first session, we will focus on three areas: we will begin with your story, your current life circumstances, and the relationships around you. We will then spend time understanding what has led you to seek therapy and what feels most important to address. Finally, we will close by clarifying what you hope to gain from therapy and what meaningful change would look like for you.
