Starting therapy can be a daunting process, so know that whatever your starting point, you are welcome here!

You are so much more than your experiences or diagnoses, and I am curious to learn about what truly matters to you. My goal is to create a space that is warm, deeply supportive, and allows you to be your authentic self. Whether you’re navigating ongoing stressors or examining deeper wounds, I wholeheartedly believe in your capacity to heal and grow. Throughout therapy, I am committed to supporting you every step of the way while providing trauma-informed, anti-oppressive care and working to decolonize my practice.

Grounded in evidence-based practices, my approach is client-centered, collaborative, and integrative. This allows us flexibility when addressing your goals – one week using a solution-focused approach while another we may unpack a difficult experience. I also work from a strength-based, relational lens because this offers us a more holistic perspective.

If you’d like to work with me, I suggest starting with a free 15-min phone consultation. This call will give you a chance to see if we’re a good fit, since it’s vital that you feel supported and comfortable with your therapist. I look forward to connecting with you, and if I’m not the right match, I’d be glad to help you find someone who is!

Therapy with Tarana

I believe a few key ingredients have the potential for therapy to be transformative:

  1. A therapist who’s the right fit

  1. Readiness to engage in therapy

  1. Openness to stretch beyond your comfort zone

If we have the first two, we can work towards the third together. I will follow your pace and gently challenge as needed. I’m excited to walk alongside you as you embark on this self-growth journey!
